Real "Bad" Dog of the Month: Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sponsor.
Real "Bad" Dog of the Month (the "Contest") is sponsored by Big Daddy's Wood & Stuff Company, 2018 Three Forks, San Antonio, TX 78258 ("Sponsor"), doing business as Bad Jobu.
2. Eligibility.
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor and members of their immediate households are not eligible.
3. Contest periods and themes.
The Contest runs in monthly periods. Each period starts on the first day of the month at 12:00 a.m. Central Time (CT) and ends on the last day of the month at 11:59 p.m. CT (each an "Entry Period"). Sponsor will post each month's theme on the Contest page at bigdaddysusa.com/pages/real-dogs and on its official Facebook and Instagram accounts. Entries received outside an Entry Period will not be considered for that month.
4. How to enter.
During an Entry Period, submit one original photograph of a dog in one of these ways:
- (a) post the photo as a comment on Sponsor's designated monthly Contest post on Facebook;
- (b) tag @badjobu in a public Instagram post or Story using #RealBadDog, or send the photo to @badjobu by direct message; or
- (c) complete the entry form at bigdaddysusa.com/pages/real-dogs.
Limit: one entry per person per Entry Period, regardless of method. Extra entries will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, or not visible to Sponsor because of an entrant's privacy settings.
5. Photo requirements.
Each entry must:
- (a) be a real, original photograph taken by the entrant or by someone who has given the entrant permission to submit it;
- (b) not be created or materially altered with artificial intelligence or image-editing tools (basic cropping and brightness adjustments are fine);
- (c) show a dog the entrant owns or has permission to photograph;
- (d) not contain nudity, violence, animal mistreatment, offensive material, or third-party logos or copyrighted material; and
- (e) comply with the terms of the platform used to submit it.
If a photo includes any identifiable person, the entrant confirms they have that person's permission. If the person is a minor, the entrant confirms they are the minor's parent or guardian or have that parent's or guardian's permission. Sponsor may crop out people, including children, before featuring any photo. Sponsor may disqualify any entry at its sole discretion.
6. Judging.
After each Entry Period ends, Sponsor will judge all eligible entries on:
- fit with the monthly theme (50%)
- humor or heart (30%)
- photo clarity (20%)
Sponsor's decisions are final. This is a contest of skill, and winners are not chosen by random drawing.
7. Prize.
One (1) winner per Entry Period will receive a signed copy of Bad Jobu – Good Dad and one Dad in Training t-shirt in the winner's choice of available size (approximate retail value: $45). The prize ships only to addresses in the United States. No cash or substitute prize is available, except that Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a listed item is unavailable. Winners are responsible for any taxes.
8. Winner notification.
Sponsor will notify the potential winner by email, Facebook message, or Instagram direct message within 7 days after the Entry Period ends. The potential winner must reply within 7 days with a US mailing address and shirt size. If a potential winner cannot be reached, does not reply in time, or is found ineligible, Sponsor may select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries.
9. License to use your photo.
By entering, each entrant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to reproduce, display, and share the submitted photo, with credit by first name and city, on Sponsor's website, social media accounts, and email communications, in connection with the Contest and Sponsor's brand. Entrants keep ownership of their photos. Sponsor will generally ask an entrant before featuring their photo, and entrants may request removal of a featured photo at any time by contacting HiJobu@bigdaddysusa.com. Winners agree that Sponsor may use their first name, city and state, dog's name, and photo to announce the winner, unless prohibited by law.
10. Privacy.
Personal information collected through the Contest will be used to administer the Contest. Entrants receive marketing emails only if they separately opt in. See Sponsor's Privacy Policy at bigdaddysusa.com/policies/privacy-policy.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, or Instagram. By entering, entrants release Meta, Facebook, and Instagram from all liability related to the Contest.
12. General conditions and release.
By entering, entrants agree to these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions. Entrants release Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or from acceptance or use of a prize. Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs its integrity, and will post any changes to these rules on this page.
